Kathleen Gotchy Obituary

Gotchy, Kathleen (Katy) Bathke

Kathleen Bathke Gotchy, 63, passed away on September 2, 2016 due to complications from her three-year struggle with cancer.

Kathleen was born on April 18, 1953 in Sheboygan to Leroy and Ellen (Houlihan) Bathke . She was a 1971 graduate of North High School. On June 2, 1973, she married David Gotchy and they raised three sons, Todd, Scott, and Justin.

Katy lived in eight states and three counties where she absorbed and celebrated local cultures and languages. Katy's life was dedicated to her family as a homemaker establishing a loving home for her son's and their friends. She was a Packer fan and a soccer mom spending countless hours cheering from the sidelines for her sons and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, David Gotchy, Hickory NC; sons Todd (wife Stacey), Scott (wife Emmy), and Justin (fiancée Jamie); and four grandchildren, Jade, Graci, Connor, Haiden and Luke; her siblings, Maureen Griessmeyer, Sheboygan, and Mary Lee Finger, Thiensville; and in-laws Charles and Virginia Gotchy. She is further survived by a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Katy was preceded in death by her parents, brother William and brother-in-law William.

A memorial service will be held at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 623 Ontario Ave, Sheboygan; with Pastor Cindy Thompson on Saturday, November 5, 2016 beginning at 1:00 p.m., Family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be given to Bookworm Gardens, 1415 Campus Drive, Sheboygan or to St. Luke United Methodist Church.
