Hayner, Kathleen A. (Peterson)

Kathleen Ann Hayner (Peterson), age 68, of Sheboygan, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2015 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born in LaCrosse, WI, on July 27, 1947, the daughter of the late Milo and Eileen Scharpf Koula.

Kathy attended local schools in the LaCrosse Area and she graduated from LaCrosse Central High School in 1965. On June 14, 1967, she was united in marriage to Don Peterson. He preceded her in death in August of 1989. Kathy then remarried on February 28, 1991, to Thomas Hayner.

Throughout her life Kathy worked for various retail stores, which included Walgreens and Shopko. She also worked at Heilemans Brewery in LaCrosse. Kathy enjoyed reading and spending time with and loving her grandchildren. She was an animal and nature lover as well.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Hayner, of Sheboygan; three children, Carl Peterson, of Sheboygan, Chris(Mary) Peterson, of Woodbury, MN, Kim(Dan) Ziegler, of Ettrick, WI; a step-daughter, Renee(Chad) Privatt, of Germantown, WI; eight grandchildren, Gauge, Makayla, Claire, Riley, Carter, Braydon, Megan and Kendall; her two sisters, Mary(Roger) Harring, Sally Martin, both of LaCrosse; two brothers, Peter(Marlene) Koula, of LaCrosse and Gib(Janine) Koula, of Appleton. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, her brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Merna Koula and her brother-in-law, Doug Martin.

A funeral service for Kathleen will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11:00a.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan with Deacon Michael Burch officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00a.m. until the time of service at 11:00a.m..

Kathy's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and a special thank you to Orlando at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital ICU for the compassion and care that was given to her.
