Born September 26, 1928, in Loewen/Brieg, Silesia, Germany (Poland); Margarete was the daughter of the late Louisa and August Karsubke.

On December 31, 1955, she married Donald C. Hermann (Sheboygan) in Landshut, Germany. Donald served his country in the U.S. Army from 1944 until 1957 where he met Margarete. Margarete can be remembered for her love of the Green Bay Packers (#1 Fan!), Brett Favre, reading, crocheting afghans, playing BINGO, making puzzles, cooking authentic German cuisine and her grandchildren. She treasured telling stories of her childhood during World War II and upbringing in Germany. She was employed by Wigman, Mayline and retired from Larson Plywood. She is proceeded by death by her parents Louisa and August Karsubke, Emma and Ernst Hermann, husband, Donald, daughter, Linda (Bergemann), two sisters, Martha and Alfreda , brother Walter, special friend, August Machtig and other dear family members.

A private family celebration of her life will take place at Wildwood Cemetery on Monday, June 1st. A memorial fund has been established in her name.

Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center has been entrusted with Margarete's arrangements.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Nicolas Hospital for taking such loving care of mom, grandma and great-grandma.

I really was saddened when I heard from my sister, Jane that Margarete died. She was a funny, short lady with the German accent. Many fond memories of her. She came to our Mom's funeral this year. Rest in peace, Margarete.
