Todd, I miss you brother! You never know.....just never know when our day will come, when we'll be called home. In my eyes, your life had just begun, you were to enjoy all the things with your new wife and daughter. One of the best NCO's, best leaders I've ever had the privilege to work for. Finally you know how I felt, thanks for the things we shared, the things you taught me and the few things you shared with me.
Todd was all of this... "May God see the Man, the Soldier, he now has. He is Loyal, to all, fair and loves his family. In medieval society, the strong – those who carried swords – were expected to protect the weak and the church and to bring peace in society." We all miss you brother...... God I pray that you'll embrace the Lowell family' in their time of need and console them. May they know that he was a good man, loved by all.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to MSG Todd Stephen Lowell our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Todd. And to Todd it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for his service in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and for the selfless sacrifices he made for his country while serving with the U.S. Army. No greater love and patriotism is shown than a man dedicate his life in service to his country. Todd, you are a brave Army Warrior and a true Patriot. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,261 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Todd's family and loved ones.
