Christopher Charles Shepherd, 49, of Waldron, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023 at his residence.
Born April 1,1974 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Bill White and Sally (Shepherd) White. He married Carol (Sweet) Shepherd on December 31, 2006, and she survives.
Other survivors include- his parents of Shelbyville; 5 children- Kenny Moody of Waldron, Angel Moody of Shelbyville, Brandon Jones (wife Candice) of Greensburg, Brianna Tracy of Waldron, Kyla Logston of Waldron; a brother Eric Corbin (wife Amber) of Morristown; 3 grandchildren-Xavier Moody, Jayden Palmer, Jackson Jones; and a nephew Charlie Corbin. he was preceded in death by his grandparents- Charles & Waneta Sheppard, a grandson Neil Wayne Tracy, and an aunt Wanda Polk.
Mr. Shepherd was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Morristown High School. He worked in maintenance at Toray for 17 years and also had worked at Sandman Brothers as a service tech.
Chris enjoyed working, fishing, hunting, going to the casino, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Funeral services will be 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Rev. Ray Sweet III officiating. Friends may call on Thursday afternoon from 2 p.m. until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Freedom Hunt, in care of the funeral home. The family has requested that outdoor hunting/fishing attire be worn during the visitation/service.
