Phyllis L. Smith, 69 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away November 2, 2025 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was born June 14, 1956 in Franklin, Indiana. She was the daughter of Norman Floyde and Barbara (Burton) Pendleton. She married Jackie Smith on April 16, 1977 and he preceded her in death on July 20, 2025.
She is survived by her brother, Floyde (Sandy) Pendleton of Edinburgh, Indiana, sister, Anita Eldridge of Edinburgh, Indiana, several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Phyllis graduated from Southwestern High School in 1974 and The House of James Beauty School in Shelbyville in 1974. She attended Jollity United Methodist Church. She was a life-time member of Double Y Saddle Club. She and Jackie owned and operated Magic Mirror in Edinburgh where she was a beautician for 48 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to all of the festivals, and scrapbooking.
A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Jason Hyer and Reverend Mike Whited at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church. Calling will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday at the church and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Separate Baptist Church in Edinburgh or Jollity United Methodist Church.
