Shelby Dean Adkins, 54, of Connersville, IN, passed away June 20, 2021 in Indianapolis.
Shelby was born in Shelbyville, IN on May 29, 1967, a son of the late Wanda Ann (McRoberts) Palmer and Carl Adkins. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He owned and operated his own wrecker service in Shelby County for many years. Shelby was a faithful and active member of the Living Stone Church of Connersville.
Shelby is survived by a sister, Kelly Ann Keel, a half brother, Carl Quinton Adkins; three maternal aunts, Cathy Richardson, Mary Jo Ricketts and Janie (Steve) Ward; one maternal uncle, Jerry (Wanda) McRoberts; two paternal aunts, Dottie Adkins and Lucille Gaddis.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Mark A. Adkins and four uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time by the family. The family requests donations to Living Stone Church of Connersville 611 Sherman Dr. Connersville, IN 47331.
