Wendell Stewart Obituary

Wendell Stewart, 65, of Flat Rock, passed away at his residence.

Born September 10, 1959 in Rushville, he was the son of Forester Stewart and Lucy Ann (Davidson) Stewart.

Survivors include 4 children- Wendell Stewart of Shelbyville, Nathan Stewart of Shelbyville, Ashley Spurling (Bill McNeely) of Shelbyville, Lily Stewart of Brown County; 2 brothers- Larry Stewart (Donna) of Shelbyville, Forester Lynn Stewart (Rachel) of Shelbyville; a sister Trisha Morgan of Indianapolis; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Wayne Stewart and infant Lonnie Stewart, and his sister Janice Nash.

Mr. Stewart was a lifelong resident of this area, and attended Shelbyville schools. He worked in construction for many years.

Wendell enjoyed fishing, working outdoors with his John Deere tractor, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday morning from 12:00 noon until the time pf the service, at the funeral home.
