Bonnie Brittain Obituary
She was born in Cleveland County, Dec. 20, 1926, daughter of the late Jim Devon Brittain and Vacie Mae "Loney" Mitchell Brittain. Mrs. Brittain was a homemaker and a member of Plainsview Baptist Church, the Senior Adult Sunday school class and former member of the WMU.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Brittain; son, Troy Brittain; brother, Geter Brittain; and sister, Florence Fisher.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Ann and Herman Devenny of Cherryville and Judy and Leonard Hunt of Fallston; brothers, Dice Brittain, Blary Brittain and Alexander Brittain, all of Fallston; sisters, Ann Reece of Asheville, Peggy Childers of Blacksburg, S.C. and Irma Goforth of Fallston; two grandchildren, Shelly Stinchcomb and husband, Gene, and Dena Cherry and husband, Lee; three great-grandchildren, Macy Stinchcomb, Morgan Pittman and Carson Cherry.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 25, 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Stamey Funeral Home.
Funeral: Wednesday, Nov. 26, 3 p.m., Plainsview Baptist Church; body for view, 30 minutes before service
Burial: Plainsview Baptist Church Cemetery

Dice,
I am sorry to hear about your Mom. I never knew her and regret that I didn't get to know you better. You were one of the nicest boys at Fallston High School. I'm sure you are a reflection of your Mother. Loosing you Mom is hard. Once she is gone you begin to understand what unconditional love is all about. God bless you and your family.
