Danny Duncan Obituary
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Emzy Clay and Gladys Barrett Duncan. He retired as a manager at AMVETS, and enjoyed playing baseball, softball, and golf. He was an avid Redskins fan, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Duncan; sister, Frances Duncan; and schnauzer, Crissy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Pat Brackett Duncan, of the home; son, Todd Duncan and wife Leslie of Shelby; two sisters, Carol Rienerth and husband Tom of Onacock, Va., Jeannette Patterson and husband Jack of Shelby; brother, Jim Duncan of Shelby; two grandsons, Stetson and Drake Duncan of Shelby; mother-in-law, Joan Poindexter of Bessemer City; and his beloved schnauzer, Cody.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, and other times at his home.
Funeral Service: 3 p.m. Sunday at Bethel Baptist Church
Officiated By: Drs. Tim Sims and J.M. Ezell
Burial: Sunset Cemetery
Funeral Home: Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby is serving the family
