Dever DeBrule Obituary
FOREST CITY-Dever D. DeBrule, age 93, of Greenbriar Lane, Forest City, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at the Hospice House in Forest City.
Born Oct. 13, 1923, in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late H.V. DeBrule and Martha Godfrey DeBrule.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at the First Wesleyan Church of Forest City.
Interment will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery with military honors being accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church.

My father, Staff Sgt Donald F. Edwards served with Mr. Debrule in the 640th QM Company during WWII. A few years ago, Mr. Debrule was kind enough to speak with me over the phone about my dad's service and was kind enough to send me two pictures of my dad taken during the war, just before they shipped out for the fighting in Europe. Their unit was part of Patton's Third Army and participated in four major campaigns across Europe.
Mr. DeBrule and his family will remain in our family's thoughts and prayers.

I have a memory of the family from grammar school days and am sorry to hear of your loss brother Larry.There just ain't enough of his kind left to lead this old world in the proper direction.My prayers are for the family and close friends of Mr. DeBrule.
