Eva Hoyle

LAWNDALE - Martha Eva Brackett Hoyle, 81, of 2207 Curt Ledford Road, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Hospice at Wendover. She was born in Lincoln County on Aug. 9, 1932, to the late Clarence Dewey Brackett, Sr. and Mattie Ethel Mosteller Brackett. She was retired from Basset & Hickory Mfg. as an inspector and a charter member of Hoyle Memorial Christian Fellowship Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ledford Hoyle; brothers Lonnie Brackett, Lee Brackett and Carl Brackett; and sisters, Geneva Colvard, Pauline Brackett Unverzagt, Lona Brackett, Virginia Brooks, and Ethel Brackett.
She is survived by daughter, Ethel Newton and husband Steve of Lawndale; two sons, Robbie Hoyle of Lawndale and Wayne Hoyle and wife Tammy of Hickory; grandchildren, Eric Newton and wife Misty, Christy Liverman and husband
Kevin, and Gwen Neal and husband Robert; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Cody, Kylee, Mason, and Kaylee; brothers, CD Brackett, Jr. of Salisbury, Edgar Brackett of Cherryville, and Fred Brackett of Lancaster, S.C.; sisters, Rebecca Osborne of Lenoir and Evelyn Smith of Cherryville, and 25 nieces/nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stamey Funeral Home.
Funeral service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hoyle Memorial Christian Fellowship Church. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
