Shelby - Mary Lou McNeilly Tessneer Allen, 84, of Shelby, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center, Shelby.
Born in Cleveland County on February 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Everette Grayson McNeilly and Ethel Hasting McNeilly. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Lee Tessneer and her second husband, John Allen; three brothers, Harold McNeilly, Ray McNeilly and James McNeilly and two sisters, Carolyn Beaver and Christine Hinson.
Survivors include two daughters, Marcia Wall and husband Ray of Shelby and Peggy T. Johnson and husband Mark of Shelby; two brothers, Jack McNeilly of Shelby and Charles McNeilly of Belwood; a sister, Betty Ledford of Ennice; two grandchildren, Casey Wall Vess and husband, Nathan and Bret Johnson and wife, Gina and four great-grandchildren, Mya Vess, Lilly Vess, Aubrey Vess and James Johnson.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Landmark Baptist Church. At other times the family will be at the home of Marcia and Ray Wall, 1411 Red Road, Shelby, NC 28152.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Landmark Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Davis and Rev. Dennis Bean officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Cleveland Memorial Park.
