Shelby - Michael Dean Stallings, age 65, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at his home in Kings Mountain. Celebration of life receiving will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 2-4pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mike is one of my first mentors. He taught me how to be a professional and a gentleman. Mike and his wife Donna treat you like family and had me stay in their spare bedroom when I was out on the road with Mike. I've called him over the years to keep in touch and I'm sure as others know it's like you just picked up where you left off. An incredible man that left a a wonderful legacy and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Mike Stallings was the best of the best! A true friend since meeting him day 1 at Sioux Chief. We spent so much time together and I always tried to be more like Mike. To many we were the Mike and Mike show at meetings. I cannot say enough about how he raised me up and made me a better person. When we were on the road, I loved making sure that he got his chocolate milk every morning. As we always said to each other as we headed back home - "love you brother"

So sooo sorry to see this. I have known Mike since the days he was at Plastic Oddities.. 1978 when i started. i used to call my orders in,, the days before fax machines and email.. I will miss him a ton. We always had the best of a relationship. RIP Mike.. :(

I first met Mike years ago when he was with Plastic Oddities. Myself and many more were happy when he returned to our industry at Sioux Chief. He was a great guy, always ready to listen to a customers wants and needs. Much more than a business associate, he was a friend to all he met. He will be truly missed.

I met Mike at an industry event 6 or 7 years ago. Since, I would always look for him at these events and sit with him at meals and/or grab drinks with him. What a great person he was. Also a great story teller, jokester, and a true salesman. He will be missed.

Mike will truly be missed. He has been a dear friend for many years always willing to give of himself.We had many great times together riding motorcycles to different places like Key West and spending time by the pool with he and Donna. While I didn't have the pleasure of working with Mike as much as I would have liked to, he was one of my favorites at Sioux Chief. He was an excellent communicator, full of knowledge, and the model of professionalism. He cared about Sioux Chief as if he was an owner.
I am saddened the world has lost such a great human being. May his memory live on with each an everyone he touched. I will remember his friendly smile and the true genuineness. May he never be forgotten, and always rest in power.

I knew Mike years ago when he was married to Tamra and they had little Jessica. His laugh and smile I will never forget. We played a lot of games together and made Fondue many many times together. I met Mike in '92 when we had our branch in Shelby. We became work friends, but more importantly we became friends. He was always positive and helped me in the plumbing business up until he became sick. I always knew I could call him for business or personal matters. From our pizza and ping pong days at the Stedco warehouse, to our meetings in Dallas, Mike was always my friend. I am heartbroken for the loss of a good man and great guy, and I am heartbroken for Donna and his family. Many prayers for you guys!!!!!!

Mike was a business connection, but it did not take long for that to be a friend relationship. I only got to see him when he came by or at trade shows, but he was always one of the most kind, sincere and genuinely interested in everyone he came in contact with person I knew. I valued any time I got to spend with Mike and I mourn the loss, but celebrate a wonderful life of someone who raised up everyone he met.
