Patsy Dellinger

CHERRYVILLE - Patsy Green Dellinger, 74, of 2221 Fairways Drive, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at her residence.

Patsy was born in Cleveland County, NC on July 17, 1944 a daughter of the late Alton Green and Gertrude Clark Green. She was retired after 28 years as a secretary for Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation in Cherryville and also over 16 years with Gaston County Schools as a third grade teacher's assistant at Cherryville Elementary. Patsy was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Cherryville and served in many capacities at the church, the backpack ministry and table of Grace Ministry was very special

to her. She was also a very active member of Cherryville Chapter #156 Order of the Eastern Star and served three times as Worthy Matron and was currently serving as secretary. Patsy was an avid Duke fan and enjoyed playing golf.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Dellinger and a brother, Billy Alton Green.

Survivors include her son, Mark Dellinger of Denver; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Danna and Frank Henley of Cherryville; a niece Sherry Strickland of Shelby; great niece, Miranda Strickland of Cherryville; nephews, David Green of Shelby, Jonathan Henley of Cherryville and Christopher Henley and wife Lisa; two great nephews Jacob and Luke Henley

all of Tega Cay, SC.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Ben Kifer officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:45PM in the Vida Dellinger Parlor at St. John's Lutheran Church and at other times the family will be at the home.

Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville with Eastern Star graveside rites.
