SUDIE WEBBER

SHELBY- Mrs. Sudie Belle Borders Webber, 99, of 2409 Wildwood Drive, Shelby, peacefully departed this life on Monday, April 4, 2016, at her residence. She was born on Aug. 3, 1916, in Cleveland County, N.C., to the late Miles and Della Crosby Borders.

Sudie Belle was educated in the Cleveland County Schools. She was an excellent wife, devoted homemaker, loving mother and loyal friend. She enjoyed gardening, reading, watching the "soaps" and spending time with her family. Never one who sought acclaim, she lived a dedicated Christian life and was dearly loved by her family and friends.

Sudie Belle was a lifelong member of Washington Missionary Baptist Church in Shelby. When her health declined, she lived with her son David and attended his church, New Life Christian Church in Kings Mountain. She was the oldest member in both churches for several years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; one son; one daughter; two brothers and seven sisters.

She is survived by her children, Selma Suitor (Julius) of Mocksville, N.C., Golden Williamson (Clarence), David Webber (Beatrice) Anthony Webber (Sheleih) all of Shelby, Patricia Webber of Charlotte, and Derrick Webber of Shelby and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, and at other times at the home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Washington Missionary Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Melvin L. Clark.

Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
