TOBY BOWMAN

FALLSTON-Toby Bruce Bowman, 81, of 117 Wells St., Fallston, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Carolinas HealthCare System-Cleveland in Shelby.

She was born on Dec. 4, 1934, in Iredell County, to the late Thomas Edward Bruce and Nellie White Lambert. Mrs. Bowman was retired from the textile industry as a supervisor and was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a grandchild, Christopher Padget and son-in-law, Melvin Ogle.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years Roger Edward Bowman; two sons, Roger Dale Bowman and wife Amanda of Bessemer City and Michael Bowman of Myrtle Beach, SC; three daughters, Jewel Ogle of Hayes, VA, Sheila Ann Blake and husband Larry, of St. Louis, MO, and Dayna Bryant of Bessemer City; brother, Houston Edwin Bruce and wife Retha of Statesville; grandchildren, Toby Kelly and husband, Pat of Hollywood, Maryland, Naomi Weaver of Hayes, Virginia, Samuel Ogle and wife, Natalie of Massillon, Ohio, Esther Corbin and husband, Vernon of Newport News, Virginia, Solomon Ogle of Newport News, Virginia, Sierra Blake, Roy Bowman, Melissa Cobb, Dustin Bryant, Justin Bowman, Mandy Cross, and James Cross; great grandchildren, Jordan Weaver, Edmond Ogle, Victoria Ogle, Jessi Kelly, Jake Kelly, Aaron Padget, Gage and Austin Bowman, Kylie Cross, Elijah Cross, Evan Cross, Levi Rowell, Luke Rowell and Riley Kelly.
The family will receive friends form 10 until 11 a.m., on Thursday, Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston, officiated by Chaplain Tom Hartis.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
