Richard D "Rick" Rogowski, 60, of Shelton, entered into rest peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 24, 2015 surrounded by the love of those around him

Rick was born in Derby on August 23, 1954, beloved son of Alexander and Mildred (Pulaski) Rogowski of Shelton Rick is the devoted husband of 38 years to his high school sweetheart, Deborah D (Phillips) Rogowski

He is the loving father of Brett Rogowski, Stephanie Rogowski and her husband Mike McElderry, the cherished brother of Eddie Rogowski and his wife Dawn, Patty Weinstein and her husband Larry, Ellen Rogowski, and the late Susan Bartomeli He is the uncle of Alicia Bartomeli, Nick Bartomeli and his wife Becky, Randy Rogowski and his wife Vic, and Evan Rogowski He is the great uncle of Benjamin Bartomeli Rick also leaves behind many other uncles, aunts and cousins

Longtime Scout leader

Rick lived his entire life in Shelton in the home he built with his family He was a longtime Scout Master for The Housatonic Council Boy Scouts of America Troop 28, where he enjoyed spending time in Goshen at the Edmund D Strang Scout Reservation

Rick loved the outdoors, whether he was camping, fishing or hunting He enjoyed traveling and road trips but truly enjoyed his time in the Southwest with his love, Debbie He was a field service engineer for Carl Zeiss, Inc for many years He took great pride in supporting his family, offering professional advice to his mentees and always enjoyed a good cigar

Saturday service

Friends may greet his family on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 12 to 3 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton A funeral service will be held at 3 PM in the Funeral Home

At the request of his family in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the name of Richard Rogowski to The Housatonic Council Boy Scouts of America, 111 New Haven Ave Suite 10, Derby, CT 06418
