Earl Standish Obituary
Born May 5, 1955, in Ludington, Earl was the son of the late Florence Maxine (Bailey) and Earl William Standish Sr. He attended Mason County Eastern, graduating in 1973.
He married the love of his life, Kathleen Ann (McClure) Standish, on July 17, 1976. They shared 49 years, creating a wonderful life together.
Earl dedicated many years of his life to Ludington Mass Transit Authority, where he worked as a mechanic. His passion for mechanics extended beyond his professional life into his personal interests. Earl spent much of his free time working on and restoring old cars, a hobby that brought him great joy and satisfaction.
An avid outdoorsman, Earl also enjoyed hunting and cherished the moments he spent in nature. Family was central to his life, particularly the joyous times spent with his grandchildren. Earl was known for his love of gathering friends and family around a bonfire, where stories and laughter often filled the air.
Earl is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughter Kristy (Kenny) VanSickle; son Shawn (Beth) Standish; six grandkids; and many other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his two sisters.
A visitation for Earl will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Grace Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choosing.
