In 2011 I was rejoining the workforce as office manager at King Funeral Home. I was quite nervous about it, especially since Brad King Sr was still in the hospital following his accident. Dick (and Jerry O’Meara) were taking care of everything for Brad. Dick put me at my ease and trained me. He was a good man to work for and with. One of the first times I ran funeral folders, I did them all upside down. I was so upset at the waste of time, paper, and ink. Dick just said “we all make mistakes sometimes. Figure it out and re-run them and quit worrying.” What a relief!
You will be missed by many, Dick. Until we meet again my friend.
