Robert Kruse Obituary
Bob obtained his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University. Bob retired as plant manager from BASF Corp. in Holland after many years, then worked for several companies (Rieth-Riley Construction, Kilwins, Straits Steel & Wire and Sargeant Sand) in Ludington before retiring for good. He was a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and a member of the UMC of Ludington. Bob loved music (being an accomplished singer himself and an accordionist in his youth), coffee, photography and a good joke, being a very quick with himself.
Bob was proud "daD" of daughters Meghann Kruse, Lauren Garza and Hope Ward and "Granpa" to Simon, Manuel, Clara, Ramona and Mia, who gave him much joy, and they survive him. In addition, he is survived by his wife Marjorie Kruse, his brother Arthur Kruse, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, his sister- and brother-in law Barb and Pat Barcelli, as well as lots of dear friends and recovering AA friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Russell and Kenneth Kruse, his youngest and older brothers.
In consideration for those who will need to travel, Memorial Services are being planned for spring or early summer at the UMC of Ludington, 5810 E. Bryant Rd. with a luncheon following.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Robert to ALSAC St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
