Sallie Gail Thomas

1936 - 2025

Sallie Gail Thomas (Schmoll) was born on May 1, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan. Sallie touched many lives in her nearly 90 years. She had an easy manner and funny dry wit. Sallie was a kind soul and a keen observer of people, always ready to offer a meal or some old school council, along with a smile or deep thought.

Sallie was a proud graduate of Ferndale high school where she met her husband of 54 years -John Thomas. They were wed in 1955 and remained together until John's passing in 2006 , over 55 years. Sallie and John maintained life long friendships with many of their classmates. They raised three boys in Ferndale and later , Royal Oak Mi.

Sallie was a caring and loving wife, devoted daughter, and wonderful mother. Sallie spent her childhood in Pentwater and never left in her heart. We return her with kind thanks for lending her to us.

She is survived by three sons; Blake and Lauren (Adams)and their children Iain and Hugh, Chris and Janeth (Cetera) and their son Noah, Scott and Anne (Wojda).

Last of the mighty Schmoll family line. A revolutionary before her time. Sallie will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
