Glenda Price, 87

Glenda Price, 87, of Newman Lake, Wa passed away on November 23, 2025.

Glenda Gail (Pruitt) Price was born August 1, 1938 to Frederick M. Pruitt and Donna Norton.

She was raised by her grandparents, Amelia (Nearing) Pruitt and Frederick W. Pruitt at 1940 East Side of Deadwood Gulch, near Kellogg, Idaho. She worked at the Liberty Theater where she had previously spent many happy Saturday afternoons watching Gene Autry and his horse Champion. She graduated from Kellogg High School in 1956 and maintained lifelong friendships with her classmates.

Glenda married Gerald Price in 1958 and they had five children together. They resided in Spokane, where they had three children, then moved to a small farm in Granite, Idaho and had two more children. Glenda was an active member of the Bonner County Dairy Wives Association.

She moved to the Spokane valley and retired after 25 years from Valley General Hospital as Manager of the Housekeeping Department in 2001.

Glenda enjoyed gardening, reading, spending time with her friends, listening to Elvis, collecting rocks, caring for her kitties, and spending time "up the river".

Glenda is survived by her children Julie Price of Post Falls, Jeff Price of Haydon, Amy Price of Buckley, Wa, and Paul Price of Cocolalla, her half-sister Rochelle of McCloud Ca. and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and grandkids.She is preceded in death by daughter Lori Price, sisters Marvel Bailey and Betty Angel, Archie Pruitt, and her parents.

Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Wednesday, December 10 at 1pm with a reception to follow at 3pm at the Kellogg Senior Center.
