Christopher Belote Obituary

SHREVEPORT, LA – A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Christopher Allan Belote, 32, will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. Officiating Dr. Greg Davis of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Christopher was born on May 15, 1984, in Shreveport, LA to Ellen Peyton Dunlop Belote and Allan Wayne Belote, and passed away from a lengthy illness with loving family and friends by his side May 9, 2017, in Shreveport, LA. He graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 2002. After graduating, he earned an Associate's Degree from BPCC in Bossier City, LA; he went on to work many years as a Pharmacy Technician. Chris had a great sense of humor; he had many friends that meant the world to him. He was an avid LSU fan, loved social gatherings, Louisiana culture and spicy food. Those that knew and loved Chris will miss his beautiful blue eyes and infectious smile.
He was preceded in death by his father, and his maternal grandmother, Martha Peyton Dunlop. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Ellen Belote of Shreveport, LA; brother, Scott Belote and wife, Tara of Shreveport, LA, Caroline Belote of Dallas, TX, Penny Belote of Benton, LA, and Lori Belote Beach of Denver, CO; grandfather, Scott Dunlop of Shreveport, LA; Fiancé, Hilary Duncan and son, David John Favrot and family all of Shreveport, LA; Aunt and Uncle, Laura and Bob Schleicher of Shreveport, LA; cousin, Robbie Schleicher of Baton Rouge, LA; special loved one, Eleanor Howard; and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving and compassionate care that Christopher received while at Grace Home.
Serving Christopher as honorary pallbearers will be: Craig Baird, Daniel Booth, Mike Burleson, Preston Dews, Clarke Ferriss, Colt Friday, James Guillaume, Jake Helton, and Joey Moussaoui.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the American Cancer Society, 920 Pierremont Rd., Shreveport, LA 71106.
