Ann, Wayne & Kenneth - My heart rejoices with yours that your Mom is now home with the Lord. I have very fond memories of Sis. Cockerham, she was a dear friend to my mom. As much as we miss them, we know they have made it home and we have the promise of being with them again. You three were truly blessed to have been raised in church by such fine parents. I love you and my prayers are with you.

Ann,Kenneth and Wayne,

I was so sad to hear about your Mother's passing. I believe she is rejoicing now with Lloyd, Quinton and Lisa. Mable was such a blessing to so many people. She was quiet but a wonderful person that really loved the Lord. Her legacy will be that she raised 3 wonderful children who also loved the Lord. She will be greatly missed by many. Sister Cockerham is a great warrior of God. A godly lady who gave of herself to others, and always shared the love of Jesus to you. When ever she saw you there was a warm hug, a big smile, and a real comcerned greeting of "How are you?" She would and has prayed for many souls, both for the saved and the lost. A true Pentecostal lady of God that I will miss very much. A friend to my mother, my daughter, my wife, and myself.
Ann, I am praying for you, but you know it better than I do, if she could come back after seeing Jesus, she would not do it. I am sure her and Quinton are together sitting at Jesus's feet right now listening to Him speak. Praise God, for another one of His children has come home at last. Her journey is now over, she won her race, she won the victory, and now she wears her crown of righteousness in robes of glory! Praise the Lord Jesus Christ which gave her the vitory!

To the Cockerham Family and Sister Addie Youngblood, My heart was filled with great sadness when I read of Sister Mabel passing. When my family first moved to Shreveport in the early 1950's we became part of the Glad Tidings family and Sister Mabel was my first Sunday school Teacher. She was one of the kindess, sweetest Christian ladies I ever met. My next Sunday school Teacher was Sister Addie Youngblood another sweet wonderful Christian lady. It was under their guidance that I was led to Christ and accepted Jesus as my Saviour. I stayed in Glad Tidings for many years but as time and years passed I changed churches and lost touch. Several years ago as if fate had planned it I ran into both of these wonderful ladies when my church hosted a Gospel Singing Night. I played piano for the church and my oldest daughter and I sang in a trio. Sister Addie was also in a Gospel group and Sister Mabel had come with her. I was so surprised and happy to see these dear sweet ladies. That night I stood before my church and family with great pride and testified how these two fine Christian ladies changed my life forever. I thanked them from the bottom of my heart for their service to the Lord and for leading that little girl to Christ so many years ago. My life was truly blessed by having known Sister Mabel and Sister Addie. My prayers are with all of you at this time. You have my heartfelt sympathy.
