Gregory Cush Obituary
Shreveport - Mr. Gregory Samuel Cush, age 60, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be held from 10:30 until 11:00 am with a service at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 15, in the Chapel of Osborn Funeral Home. Officiating will be Father Joseph Howard. A private family graveside service will be held.
Greg was a native and lifelong resident of Shreveport, LA. He attended Jesuit High School and was a graduate of Centenary College. He worked in the oil and gas industry in Louisiana and Texas until he joined his brothers, Joey and Bryan, in the food and beverage business. Together they ran some of Shreveport's most beloved night spots including Centenary Oyster House and The Village Grille. Greg was happiest spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, boating and being with his friends and family.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Wilbur Cush; mother, Beverly Burch Cush; brother, Joseph Wilbur Cush, Jr.; and brother, Bryan Stephen Cush. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; sisters, Derrie Cush Lindley and husband, Tom and Angela Cush John and husband, Rick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Catholic Charities of Northwest Louisiana.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Scott Boniol, everyone at Christus Highland Cancer Treatment Center and Grace Home Hospice.

Totally overwhelmed! He was my best friend from 7 years old to his death! I am very sorry for the lost of my long time friend! May god rest his sole , I know he's in a better place! Cush Family:
i am so sorry to hear of Greg's passing. Colon Cancer is brutal and painful.
I grew up with him. I remember the lake house on Bisteau. Spent a lot of time there. Also the Centenary Oyster house and the Village. Iconic!
I was also sorry to hear of Joey and Brian's passing as well as your Mother and Dad.
I am thinking of yall.

Darrie and Angela... I'm so sorry for your loss. Though we only met for 2 days in CCU... your love and devotion towards Greg exemplified, I'm certain, the legacy of your parents and your family and demonstrated living one's faith. I keep you both and your families in prayer as you go through this time and know that you both, along with your families will continue to bless others. Holding the Cush family and friends close in this most recent passing. The End of an Era in Shreveport History, the fun antics and the charm of the Cush Brothers legacy will always be remembered with laughter by the Rice girls, though bittersweet, because there will be no more new memories. Just hanging out with y'all was an adventure in conversation. Rest in Power.
