gus was a friend of my mom's. he would come over with all of their other friends and hang out by the pool. he always made me and my brother and sister laugh. one time he had some of his gold jewelry melted down and had a nugget made of it. he gave it to me on a gold chain for a present. i was in 9th grade and thought that was just "the bomb". he was a nice man

Gus has been a friend of mine and my children since the 70's. He was so funny to be around and lifted your spirits if you were down. He would quote Bible scriptures and loved God. Even though we had lost touch we still laughed with him. Dodie Ulmer

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Gus Bryan Lippmin, Jr. our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Gus. And to Gus it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Korean War while serving in the U.S. Army. Gus we bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,452 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Gus’s family and loved ones.
