Kenneth Geaslin Obituary
Shreveport, LA - Memorial services for Mr. Kenneth Ray Geaslin, age 89, will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 3200 Airline Drive, Bossier, LA 71111 with Chaplain Alan Van Dyke officiating and a eulogy by his son, Bill Geaslin. Interment, with military rites by the U. S. Navy Honor Guard, will be held at a later date in the Salem Cemetery, Plain Dealing, LA.
Visitation will be held at the church from 1:30 pm until service time.
Mr. Geaslin was born on December 5, 1926 in Electra, TX to Ellis and Etta Lee Denson Geaslin and passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. He was a resident of Plain Dealing since 1982, was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during World War II and was a retired cattle farmer.
He is survived by his son, William "Bill" Geaslin of Shreveport, LA; grandson, Kenneth Logan Geaslin and sister, Phyllis L. Tutt of Longview, TX; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Geaslin was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Norris Geaslin; his daughter, Kathleen Marie Gleaslin; his parents; and sister, Virginia Louise Roseman.

Sorry to here about your lost, but me and Mr. Kenneth worked at Brookshires gas station together in Benton back in 2007, and he was a really nice person to work with.

The Final Salute
Brothers in Arms, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged Hand Salutes as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This Hand Salute is the last that we shall render to Kenneth Ray Geaslin our Brother-in-Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Kenneth. And to Kenneth it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during WW-II while serving in the U.S. Navy. Kenneth, we commend you for your honorable service. You are a true patriot, who served with honor and distinction. You upheld the finest qualities of an American patriot warrior: courage, commitment, generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and country. You were a true friend. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
