Lillian Webb Basham Taylor

Lillian Webb Basham Taylor, born on May 9, 1940 in Paducah, Kentucky to Mary Frances Roberts Webb and Wilbur Hamilton Webb and passed away July 4, 2017.

Predeceased by parents; husband, William Earl " Bill" Basham; husband, Walter W. Taylor; two sisters, Robbie Nell Webb and Judith Ann Webb; one brother, Joe Ed Webb; stepdaughter, Leigh Taylor Walker; mother-in-law, Brownelle Walton Basham; and special friend, Horace C. Aycock

Grew up in Paducah, KY and graduated from George Peabody for Teachers, now Peabody at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in English and Vocal Music.

Survived by two sons, Craig Hamilton (Basham) Taylor of Geismar and his wife, Leslie, and Jonathan Earl (Basham) Taylor of Shreveport and his wife, Amy; one stepdaughter, Lynne Taylor Smith of Coushatta.

Grandchildren include Trevor Reid Taylor of Shreveport, Mary Katherine Taylor of Geismar and Ava Elizabeth Taylor of Shreveport.

Stepgrandchildren include Jessica Smith Alexander and her husband, Trent; Jason Taylor Smith and his wife, Katy; Christopher Walker and his wife, Aimee; Brian Soileau and his wife, Megan; and Victoria Soileau.

Special thanks to Dr. Robert Massingill of Shreveport

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday July 8th at First United Methodist Church in Natchitoches at 2 pm and officiated by Reverend Doug DeGraffenried.
