Lillie Latimer Obituary

Lillie Ernestine Latimer

BOSSIER CITY, LA - On October 16, 2007, Ernie went to be with her son, Mike, and husband, Griffin. She was a devoted and gracious mother, wife, teacher, mentor, and friend. Ernie was a wonderful and gentle spirit, who shared her generous heart and warm presence with everyone. She is now in the protective and loving arms of her dear Lord. God looked around his garden

And he found an empty place

And then he looked down upon

The earth and saw your face

He put his arms around you

And lifted you to rest

God's garden must be beautiul

He always takes the best

It broke our hearts to lose you,

But you didn't go alone

For part of us went with you,

The day God called you home.
Ernie will be greatly missed by her nephew, Rufus Knight, niece, Beth Williams, and their families, daughter-in-law, Sheela Latimer, former students, and dear friends. We love you so. The family would like to thank Colonial Oaks Guest Care and Agape Hospice for the kind and loving care they gave Ernie. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. , at the Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery, Haughton, LA., with Rev. Austin Smith officiating.
