Margaret Thaxton Obituary
She was the daughter of Mr. George Kimber and Mrs. Maude Chambers Kimber, both deceased. She was a member of Burton Chapel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Thaxton is survived by three sons, Harry Jacobs, Preston L. Thaxton (Earlene) and Rodney Thaxton (Denise Wicks), all of Burlington; four daughters, Annette Corbett (Ron) of Burlington, Barbara Whitaker (Richard) of Winston-Salem, Glenda Dunigan (William) of Maryland and Wanda Richmond (Darryl) of Greensboro; four brothers, Clarence Kimber of Cleveland, Henry Kimber (Dora) and Clifton Kimber (Doris), both of Pleasant Grove, and Bill Kimber (Eva) of Burlington; a sister, Mildred Ann Shaw of Burlington; and 30 grand- and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Kimber; and two sisters, Frances Dillard and Jerrine Bigelow.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Burton Chapel Baptist Church by Pastor Maurice W. Boswell. Burial will be in Sweet Gum Church cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. At other times the family will receive visitors at the home.
A public viewing will be Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m. at Sharpe Funeral Home.
Sharpe Funeral Home is serving the family.

My Aunt Margaret she was an angel not only did she show us all love but she also gave us what we needed and that was gods word we will miss her more than words can express we will miss her cooking and that smile you rest now princess and know everything you ever said to each and everyone of us will stay with us.
