Charles Wyatt Obituary
He was born in Bristol Virginia, a son to the late Michael and Mary Phillips Wyatt, and was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. Pat was a former employee of Flav-O-Rich, working as a machine operator. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Piney Flats. Mr. Wyatt was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War.
Survivors include wife, Jean Chafin Wyatt; daughters, Paula Kaylor and husband Rick, Rebecca McQueen and husband Jim and Janice Pearson and husband Greg; son, Charles Wyatt Jr. and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Matthew Kaylor, Zachary Wyatt, Tyler Pearson and Monica Kaylor; stepgrandchildren, Bradley Broyles and Ashley Brock; stepgreat-grandson, Hunter Banks; and brother, Paul Wyatt and wife Delores.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Bertie Lee Houser and Ruby Hunigan; and brothers, James and Wayne Wyatt.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Piney Flats, with Dr. Allen Davis and the Rev. Reed Mullins officiating. Committal services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 7:45 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Piney Flats, 100 Cherry St., Piney Flats, Tenn. Online condolences may be registered at www.weaverfuneralhome.net.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Wellmont Hospice House.
Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wyatt and Family,
My days of knowing Mr. Wyatt goes a long way back into the days of him working for Foremost which became Flav-O-RIch. I sold candy to him and all of the other wonderful people that worked there and they all was wonderful to me. I looked forward to seeing them each day.
Mr. Wyatt was a very good and kind person and I remember he always had a smile and kind words for me. He was also a good candy customer (he and his brother, I believe they were twins). I thought a lot of them both. Even after my days of selling candy he and his brother always remembered me and I did them. It was always a pleasure when our paths would cross again and I see that wonderful smile and humor of his. His smile would brighten anyone's day for it certainly did my. I shall never forget him or all of the great candy customers that I had and looked forward to seeing six days a week. Each one of them made up a BIG part of my life that I would never want to give up and I look back on each day of my life. I loved and appreciated each one of them and always will.
I appreciate and thank Mr. Wyatt and all of the other great men and women like him, for they are the reason that we have the freedom that we do, for the sacrifice that they made for us and our country. I hope and pray that we never lose that and for what these great heros has fought for. May God bless each of you during this sorrowful time and may God be with each of you. Mr. Wyatt has touched many hearts! If ever I can do anything for you, please let me know.

Jean and family,

Pat and I were cousins (my mother was Anna Lee Phillips Stevens) and although we had lost touch we were close during childhood. I am so sorry that I did not find out in time to attend the funeral. My prayers and thoughts will be with all of you.

pat was my father-in-law. He was a kind and gentle man. He always treated me with kindness and respect. He treated my children as if they were his own. I will dearly miss him. I know that someday I will see him again on those heavenly streets. Pat, I will miss you. I love you very much.
