Pauline Garrett Obituary
ROCKY MOUNT, LA - The family and friends of Pauline Rowe Garrett will celebrate her life and her home going at 9:30 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. Interment will follow at the Rocky Mount Presbyterian Cemetery at Rocky Mount, LA where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Vance who predeceased her in 2008. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the funeral home.
"Polly" as she was affectionately known was born May 16, 1946 in Shreveport, LA and died October 15, 2015 in Bossier City at the age of 69.
She predeceased by her parents Perle and Allen Rowe of Benton, LA and her special mother-in-law Audrey Webster Garrett of Mebane, NC. Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Allen "Buddy" Rowe, his wife Julie and daughter Zoe, her son, Vance "Trey" Stockard Garrett and his wife Jerri and her son John Allen Garrett and his wife Mary and his children Landon Payne Garrett, Audrey Madeline Garrett and Mason Lane Garrett, Alisha Ciconte and great grandson Isaiah.
Polly worked for years in the field of family counseling and psychiatry as an administrative assistant before she and Vance retired to the "woods". She enjoyed her retirement organizing The Gathering, a group of 30+/-neighbors in the area who met regularly for lunch, news and companionship. She will be missed by the many wild creatures who fed in her back yard. Family and friends will miss her but they rejoice in the reunion that has already taken place between Polly and Vance.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Rocky Mount Presbyterian Cemetery or the charity of donor's choice.

Polly and I had a very special relationship. She was my first official secretary after my mother in my security business. To this day I am not sure who worked for who. I loved her. She is missed.
