SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Hollie Worsham, Jr., 85 of Shreveport will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2007 in Centuries Memorial Funeral Home chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas H. Worsham, IV assisted by Rev. Charles Reynolds of Summer Grove Baptist Church and Rev. Patrick A. Worsham of 2nd Baptist Church of Kingwood, TX. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2007 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery in Paulina, LA.

Mr. Worsham or "Uncle June" as his loving family members referred to him was born at Mt. Morgan Community near Heflin, LA on September 11, 1921 and passed away in Shreveport on April 7, 2007. He has been a resident of Shreveport for the past year. Mr. Worsham spent most of his life in North Louisiana working as a depot agent/telegrapher at Colfax, Coushatta and Campti, LA for the Kansas City Southern / Louisiana and Arkansas Railway Co. and retired after 40 years. Mr. Worsham will be lovingly remembered for his kindness, respect and generosity to his family and fellow men. He will be fondly remembered by the younger children as their favorite uncle who took them to buy ice cream and candy before they asked and who jingled his pockets and had a ready nickle for them.

Mr. Worsham was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Worsham, infant daughter: Pamela Ann Worsham, parents: Thomas H. Worsham, Sr. and Ora Cook Worsham, brothers: Billy Ray and Theron Worsham.

Survivors include son: Thomas Hollie Worsham III and wife Rena, sister: Vila Faye Beam and husband Richard, grandchildren: Thomas Hollie Worsham IV and Patrick Algeston Worsham and wife Kristin. Also survived by nieces and nephews: Linda Tanner and husband Jerry, Gary Worsham and wife Denise, Kay Worsham, Billy G. Worsham, Debbie Allen and Karen Stephens and husband Ed.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Newton, Thomas H. Worsham IV, Patrick A. Worsham, Billy G. Worsham, Ed Stephens, Buford I. Grappe, Jr. and James W. Prudhomme, Jr.
