"Bill"
SHREVEPORT, LA- Funeral services for William "Bill" Clifton Wood, 83, will be held at 12 noon Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Brother Jerrell Head and Brother Brian Radford. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2013 at the funeral home.
Bill was born on June 10, 1930 in Emerson AR to Benjamin and Hallie Wood and passed away on December 5, 2013. He was a resident of Shreveport, a Baptist and a retired auto mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Christine Wood; daughters, Mary Head and husband, Jerrell, Dwanna Guin and husband, Roger, Gwen Roge and husband, Mickey, Sue Balzrette and Ronnie Brady; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Pierce.
Honoring Bill as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Lynn Roge, Stacy Roge, William Roge, Chris Head, Andy Head and Larry Philyaw.
The family expresses a special "Thank You" to Willis-Knighton Hospice, Chaplain Dana Casey and Stephanie.
