Zelma Flynn Obituary
SHREVEPORT, LA.-Graveside services celebrating the life of Zelma T. Flynn will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Forest Park St. Vincent. Officiating will be Father Thomas Elavunkal. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 6 to 8pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Marshall Street.
Zelma went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 11, 2013, she was 96 years old. She was born on August 6, 1916 to parents Walter and Chloe Thornton in Elberton, Georgia. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Thomas Flynn Jr., daughter, Betty Flynn, granddaughter, Tracy Pardue and three sisters, Lousie Perkins, Mildred Toms and Florence Flennigan.
Left to cherish Zelma's precious memory are her sons, Charles Flynn and wife, Reba of Bossier, LA., Rodney Flynn of Shreveport, LA. and Don Flynn and wife, Paula of Shreveport, LA., grandchildren, Bobby, Douglas, Michael, Greg, Becky, Lisbeth, Katie, Suzanne and Ralph. Zelma also has 16 great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children at www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.

I'm so thankful you were blessed with a long wonderful life here on earth. I know you are in heaven with the Lord in peace now for eternity. We will miss you. I'm so glad my dad was there to hold your hand as you went to be with our Father. The stories he tells me of you remind me so much of him. Until we see each other again love you.
