Beloved wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother Angela Cucco (nee DiClerico), passed away on Sept. 15, 2021 at her home in Ft. Wadsworth. Born in New Brighton to Dominick DiClerico and Anna (nee Scarpelli), she attended P.S. 17 and graduated from Curtis High School. Mrs. Cucco was the co-owner of Zipz Make Your Own Sundae Ice Cream shop in New Dorp and enjoyed bowling throughout her life. She became a SI Bowling Hall of Famer in 2005 and was a delegate and sergeant-at-arms for the SI Women's Bowling Club and represented them at various tournaments throughout the country. Angela founded the St. Joseph's Angels Grammar School Bowling League where she motivated the children by paying them 5 cents per spare and 10 cents per strike. Angela was a very active and longtime parishioner in the Parish of St. Joseph-St. Mary and Immaculate Conception in Rosebank. She was a member of the Christian Mothers and a supervisor at the Wednesday morning Bingo. A lover of travel, she enjoyed trips to Italy, Alaska, Hawaii and The Caribbean, as well as, annual trips to Myrtle Beach, Florida and Atlantic City. Angela enjoyed watching the NY Yankees, Family Feud and adored Elvis Presley. She also loved attending Broadway Shows. "Mom persevered through several health issues," said her family. "But she never lost her faith in God." Mrs. Angela Cucco was the beloved wife of 61 years to Enrico "Harry" Cucco Jr. and loving mother of Maria (Elias) Mihailos, Ann (Gino) Morello and Enrico (Patty) Cucco III. Her children recently hosted a beautiful Anniversary party for their parents. Mrs. Cucco was also the cherished grandmother of Enrico IV, Matthew, Claudia, Juliana, Peter, Christopher and Emilia. Dearest sister of Camillo DiClerico and his wife Norma. She was loved by many dear nieces, nephews and cousins. A. Azzara Funeral Home, 183 Sand Lane, SI, NY 10305 has been honored with Mrs. Cucco's funeral arrangements which include visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm on both days. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church on Wednesday at 10am. Interment follows at Oceanview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Susan G. We remember how beautiful Angelo was as a young girl & how her beautiful family who lived around the corner of my grandparents Vincent & Antonia Signoriello. How we grew up with all the great stories of Italy and the family we have. How they past on all their qualities and we pass them on to our kids.
