Antoinetta Marie Strahm (De Ciuceis) Always had a smile for everyone It is with great sadness that the family of Antoinetta Marie Strahm (De Ciuceis), known to most as Anne, announces her passing on Sunday, July 18th, 2021 at the age of 91. Anne was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years George E. Strahm Sr, her parents Modestino & Anna De Ciuceis, and her brothers Peter and Gerard De Ciuceis. Anne will be lovingly remembered by her sister/ predeceased brother-in-law Nancy (John) Maguire along with her children and their spouses, Maryanne Ventimelia, George (Susan) Strahm Jr, Peter (Pamela) Strahm, Paul Strahm, and Diane (Lawrence) O'Friel. Anne will also be fondly remembered by her 13 Grandchildren (Kelly, Samantha, Brian, Danielle, George, Lacey, Jamie, Brianna, PJ, Larry, Cassie, Ryan, Hailey) and great granddaughter Sienna. Anne will also be forever remember by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Anne was a graduate of New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, NY and worked with Harris Intertype before she embarked to Italy to be stationed with her husband George at a US Army base during the Korean War. Upon returning to Brooklyn, NY Anne proudly started her journey as a mom and devoted all of her heart and soul into raising her five children. Eventually landing in Staten Island , NY where she lived in the Oakwood Heights for 57 years, Anne got involved in numerous PTA and parent groups for PS 50, IS 24, Monsignor Farrell High School, and New Dorp High School as she became a loveable "second mother" to hundreds of more kids with her caring approach to everything she was involved with. After her kids were grown, Anne found herself working in Novelli's Pork Store where she was known to all that entered as "the cookie lady". She always had a smile for everyone that crossed her path.
