Audrey Claire Frisch, 85
A woman of style & grace, St. Peter's H.S. employee & volunteer
Audrey Claire Frisch, 85, of Castleton Corners passed away on February 14, 2021. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and neighbor.
She is survived by her sons, Charles and Jack, grandchildren, Jacqueline and Cameron and six siblings: Bernadette Smith, Ret. Det. James Liedy, Ronnie Reardon, Lenaye McGill, Larry Liedy and Loreen Tarloff, and the late Charles J. Liedy Jr.
Mrs. Frisch was born in Staten Island and settled in Castleton Corners with her late husband Ernest in 1967. The oldest daughter of Charles and Ruth Liedy, owners of Liedy's Shore Inn, she was one of 8 children. Audrey helped her mother raise her younger siblings which instilled a close endearing mother-like bond with all them throughout her life. Mrs Frisch graduated New Dorp High School in 1954 and worked for an insurance company in Manhattan for 4 years. She married Ernest George Frisch in June 1959. Along with her late husband, Audrey enjoyed an association with St. Peter's Boys' High School for over 35 years. First, as an active member of the Parents Club and seamstress of costumes for the school's plays and musicals, and later as a full-time staff member and moderator of the school's bookstore.
Audrey enjoyed family vacations to such places as Cape Cod, Hawaii and Paradise Island in the Bahamas. She had a life long passion for gardening and enjoyed an annual tradition of shopping for plants on Mother's Day at Dearborn Farms in N.J. with her husband and later with her son, Jack.
Her style, grace, love and moral compass will be sorely missed.
Visitation is March 1st from 4 to 8 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home. Funeral Service is March 2nd, 10-11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church.

My deepest sympathy to the Frisch family Audrey & Sonny were very dear friends in our early years many good times were had at our social get-together. Both were lovely & gracious friends. Over the years we lost contact but the wonderful memories we made will never be forgotten

So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Mr. and Mrs. Frisch and my parents were mainstays at all the basketball games at St Peters during the years my brothers played ball for them. She was always very kind and caring to the students. I remember her warm greetings and beautiful smile. May she rest in peace. Sincerely, Karen Dunn
