My heart is broken. The smile in this picture is a signature of Audrey. I met Audrey when she started her nursing career in the eighties at Bayley Seton Hospital. we dressed in whites but cool 80´s white with flipped collar up and our hair was spiked. She was and still is a superb nurse but most of all a good friend. We parted ways I at St. Vincent´s and after 911 moved to New Mexico to work. Audrey traveled and worked with doctors out borders. Not everyone can become a nurse, it is definitely a calling. I will miss Audrey physically but the memories will always stay. Barbara Mulcahy Dement Friend

I´ve come to know the Sorensen family for the last 25 yrs. My daughter Denise & her family were neighbors ( very close friends)with the family. Audrey was very kind to me when I was a patient in NYU. From what I heard among the staff, she was very well respected & loved. I was deeply sorry to hear of her health struggle & her passing. My condolences to Cathy , Frank ,Karen & John.
