Bob Armstrong

1940 - 2021

Bob Armstrong gave his last command performance on November 13th, 2021, surrounded by family, closing the curtains on a life well lived. His impromptu performances, corny jokes and hilarious stories laced with double entendre, as well as, the best briefcase cheesecake Brooklyn has ever tasted, will be deeply missed. Bob was born in Staten Island on May 4, 1940 when he blessed his parents, Frank & Agnes Armstrong, ne Stewart and siblings, with a lifetime of entertainment. Bob was #7 of ten children. Known as a "silly guy", always ready with a smile, Bob had an amazing singing voice & on stage persona. Some would say, he never left the stage. A kid at heart, Bob worked for Scholastic Magazine.. when he grew up, working at the law office of Corbett & Rebak gave him great joy, working there until his 70th birthday. Survived by two sisters: Margaret & husband Henry Cook, and Eileen & husband Tom Rail; many nieces & nephews & great nieces & nephews. Visitation at Hanley Funeral Home on Tuesday, 11/16, 2-4p, 7-9p with funeral services Wednesday, 11/17, at St. Charles in New Dorp. Interment -Moravian Cemetery.
