Beloved Wife, Mother & Grandmother Carol Marie Carroll, age 88, passed away peacefully on November 21,2022 surrounded by her family. Carol (nee Cosgrove) was born on June 23, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY to Helen and Norbert Cosgrove. She was a graduate of St John's University where she met her husband of 65 years, Peter Carroll, SJU basketball team center. Carol joyfully dedicated herself to her family, was a community volunteer and woman of great faith and longtime parishioner of St. Charles Catholic Church in Oakwood. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Norbert Cosgrove and her brother Dr. Paul N. Cosgrove. She is survived by her husband, Peter F. Carroll and her children Kathleen Vazzana (Dr. Thomas Vazzana), John Carroll (Sharon Carroll), Peter Carroll (Sally Jo Carroll), Helen Delahanty (NYPD Inspector Thomas Delahanty), Dr. Paul Carroll (Tracy Carroll). Grandchildren, Dr. Kathleen Vazzana, Dr. Virginia Rahming (Dr. Shaul Rahming), Jennifer Delahanty, William Carroll (Kelliann Carroll), Andrew Carroll (Elaine Carroll), Caroline Vazzana (David Lopes), Thomas Delahanty (Nicole Delahanty), Victoria Carroll Esq. (Ian Williams), Thomas Vazzana, Kevin Carroll, Lauren Carroll, Amanda Carroll, PA-C, Mackenzie Carroll, Lindsey Carroll, James Delahanty, Katelyn Carroll and Matthew Carroll. Great Granddaughters, Bella Rahming and Maisy Carroll. Dear sister-in-law of Eileen Cosgrove and Helen Carroll. Visitation will be at Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, NY on Sat. 11/26 4-8pm and Sun. 11/27 2-6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:15am on Mon. 11/28 at St. Charles Church, Oakwood, Staten Island. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's name may be made to the following charities: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
