Claire DiSabatino Obituary

July 12, 1929 - October 31, 2021 Claire DiSabatino passed peacefully late Sunday evening. Her and her husband Al were born and raised on Staten Island. They met at a dance at SVEA hall on post avenue. She always said it was love at first sight. They soon married and had their children John and Linda on Union avenue in Mariners harbor. Linda proceeded Claire's death in 1993. Not long after, Claire and Al moved to Home place where they have been cherished for over 50 years. Claire worked for Staten Island Savings and loans and later retired from Navy retail in fort wads worth. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to her two grand daughters Andrea and Jillian. In fact, she was a grandmother to her neighborhood. Claire had a special relationship with her daughter in law Jeralynn. They had traditions of Sunday dinners, trips to Atlantic City, and holiday shopping sprees. She played the lotto every day and had an outstanding appointment on Fridays at the "beauty parlor" Joseph Ashley Salon. She loved movies and magazines and always referred to her dictionary to learn new words. She had impeccable penmanship and took pride in sending holidays and birthday cards. Claire and her loving husband Al built a beautiful family with so much love and generosity to their neighbors and friends. She will be put to rest with her daughter Linda at a private ceremony. Claire will truly be loved and missed forever.
