Dolores A. Hietala

1933 - 2021

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother Dolores A. Hietala (nee Lewis), 87, entered into eternal life Friday, October 29, surrounded by her beloved children. She was the daughter of the late Ann (Langdon) Lewis and Harold Lewis. Dolores was born on December 27, 1933 in Manhattan and raised on Staten Island. She retired from Institute of Basic Research. She loved spending time with family and singing to them. She sang in several choirs and volunteered for hospice. Dolores was a very caring and generous person who will be dearly missed by family and friends. Dolores is survived by her four children, Robin Maroney (Dennis) of North Carolina, Linda Muller (Wayne), Patricia Delutri and James Maynard (Carmen), all of Staten Island. She will be deeply missed by her 7 grandchildren, Kellie Robisky (Thomas), Gary Delutri Jr. (Karen), Jaime Nelson (Pete), Nicole Delutri, Erin Eddy (Ryan), Marc Delutri and Taylor Maroney. Dolores adored her great-grandchildren, Rylan and Brandon Robisky, Kieran and Brennan Nelson, Charlie, Joey and Mckenzie Delutri, Owen and Dylan Eddy. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Audrey Masterson, and many nieces and nephews.
