'World lost a beautiful soul' Our hearts are heavy as we announce the world lost a beautiful soul and loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt way too soon. Donna Marie Corazza, 58, of Cortland, NY, passed away on Oct. 20, 2021 at SUNY Upstate Medical ICU, Syracuse, after an extended hospitalization in a fight against COVID-19. She was born Donna Marie Denice, on Sept. 29, 1963, daughter of the late Dominick and Martha Denice. She is survived by her sisters, Doreen Denice (Shah) of Princeton NJ, and Darlene Denice of Peachtree City, GA; her children, her "crazies" as she affectionately called them, Nicole Corazza, Kristen (Todd) VanDyke, of Waverly; Tayler (Nick) Lavore, and Matthew Peck of Cortland; grandchildren, Alexis, Brance, Chase, Teegan, and baby Lavore, whom her entire world revolved; and by her nieces, Michelle, Ashley, Megan and Naseem, nephews John Irizarry, Jr., and Nawazish Ali, and cousins, Dee and Dean Simmons, Waverly, NY. She graduated from Curtis High School. She moved to Waverly and Cortland, NY and worked for Elderwood, JM Murray, and Unity House (Ithaca) where she worked at the time of her passing. Visitation was last month, Thursday, October 28, 2021, Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad St., Waverly, NY. She was laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery, Waverly, NY.
