Taught school for many years, 'loved her family wholeheartedly' Elaine Louise Sadousky Moresco, 84, a native Staten Islander passed away on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021. Elaine was born on August 21, 1937 to Gertrude (Buddie) Zilloux and Paul Sadousky. She grew up in Stapleton and graduated from Notre Dame College. Elaine was a parishioner of St Ann's Church where she was a lector and Eucharistic minister. Elaine was an avid Yankee fan and animal lover. She always loved to knit, read and sew. Elaine was a Catholic school teacher for over 40 years. After her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at Staten Island Hospital and spending time with her family. Elaine was pre-deceased by her husband, Donald of 60 years. Being a kind and dependable wife, mother and grandmother was of utmost importance to Elaine and she certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving her family. Elaine has three daughters, Susan (Anthony), Meg (Randy), and Elaine (Doug), seven grandchildren, Heather Pelletier and her partner Asi Maman, Jessica and her husband Matthew Stokes, Justin and his wife Terese Armstrong, Maria, Anthony, Adrianna and Christopher Parello, and three great-grandchildren, Elliotte, Emery, and Gray. The funeral service will be held at St. Ann's Church on Monday, November 22 at 11 a.m. There will be visitation at the Harmon Funeral Home on Sunday, November 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Alzheimers Asscoiation or the New York Burn Center Foundation is requested. So sorry for the loss of a great person...excellent n tough teacher...I realized in my adult life how right she was on many things...she taught language arts n history but above all, taught us about life...RIP Elaine Moresco...God bless you.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Elaine. She was a bright light at SIUH reception desk where I also volunteered with my therapy dog Austin. She always had a smile & loved visits from Austin. Prayers & Hugs to her family
