Janet A. Kelly Dearest sister, aunt & friend, 68 Janet A. Kelly, 68 passed away suddenly on 7/6/21. She was born 9/21/1952 to Joseph and Elvira (nee Tutrone) Kelly. She is survived by her sister Linda and a very special person in her life, whom she thought of as a niece, Michelle Therese Petrocelli. She is also remembered by many friends. Janet was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Staten Island in 1962. She attended and graduated from the former St. Louis Academy, Pleasant Plains as part of the last class in 1970. She attended the Berkeley-Claremont Secretarial School and started her professional career at US Life Corp. Janet left the corporate world to work for the Archdiocese of NY for the past 35 years. She was the Youth Ministry Coordinator at St. Clare and took the teens are various outings including World Youth Day in Colorado to see St. John Paul and again at the NJ Meadowlands and Central Park in NY. She was the Director of Development at St. Joseph-St. Thomas, Pleasant Plains and at the time of her death; the Parish Manager of Sts. Peter, Paul and Assumption parish. Arrangements are as follows: Viewing will be at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue on Sunday and Monday from 22-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, 7/13 at 10:15 AM at St. Charles Church, Penn Avenue. Internment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
