Devoted mother and proud grandmother Jennie Walz, 90, of Huguenot, passed away on January 5, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond G. Walz, FDNY; devoted mother of Raymond E. (Glenn), Karen Ciaccio (Phillip), and the late Jeffrey P. (Rani); cherished grandmother of Bradley, Matthew, Lindsey, and Julia, and sister of the late Frances Crescenzo. In her earlier career Jennie worked briefly for Moller Steamship Company in Manhattan. She left that position to become a full time home maker upon the birth of her first child. Later in life after her children had grown Jennie joined Shearson Lehman Brothers working in their HR Department. Jennie enjoyed cooking and baking especially during the holiday seasons. She especially enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren. She was so proud of their many accomplishments. Her son, Lt. Jeffrey P. Walz FDNY, perished at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday from Harmon Funeral, West Brighton. Interment is in Moravian Cemetery. Visiting is Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu flowers, donations may be made to The Stephen Seller Tunnel to Towers Foundation or The New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation. Hi Mom, wanted to send you this early Mother´s Day message. We are going to mark another holiday with out you. Yesterday I was in Walgreens looking at all the Mothers Day gifts, cards and candy. So wanted to buy you another card . So many times I want to pick up the phone and call you. The way you always knew what to say was truly a gift. You listened but were never judgmental. Your kindness was endless. I try to carry that with me everyday. Going back to NY recently to prepare our home for someone new was overwhelming and comforting at the same time. So many memories that can never be erased. Hopefully new memories will be created in a place we truly called "home". I´m telling Loki to curl up with you. He truly loved his grandma, his savior . We all love you endlessly and miss you terribly. Not many children can speak of their parents in such loving affection. We miss you and love you and know that you are watching over us with the same kindness and love you gave us everyday of our lives. Happy Mothers Day mom, love you always Raymond.

Hi Mom, This past Friday, Jan 6th we marked your two year passing. We grieve every day since your kind and gentle demeanor left us. Although now we remember all the fond times and the funny stories its your compassion and words of wisdom we miss. We were truly blessed to be able to call you "mom". I know you now have daddy, Jeffrey and Loki to keep you safe, not having you here or hearing your voice is the toughest part for Karen, I and your four grandchildren. We miss you everyday more and more. If I know Loki he's laying by your feet staying close to his "grandma". Love you always and miss your more everyday. .

Happy Mother´s Day mom. . Even though I was blessed to have such a loving beautiful mother all these years there never seems to be enough time to make new memories. Today marks two months since Loki passed. This makes today doubly hard. I hope you have both connected in that beautiful after life place. He so loved his grandma Jennie. . Miss you so much. My voice of comfort is now silent. Sometimes I feel so lost. Deep down I know you are there with Jeff and daddy to talk me off the cliff. Life moves around me while I seem to be stuck in this fog of sadness. Sometimes putting on that face of happiness is torturing. I know I now have four guardian angels watching over me. I´m sure you all send me strength without me even knowing you did. I miss you all so very much, not a day goes by that I don´t think of you all. . Happy Mother´s Day mom and give that special Dalmation a hug and a squeeze from me .

A full year just passed mom since you were taken from us. Not a day goes by that I don´t miss our evening phone calls. There is so much that I want to share, funny stories and things I saw that day that I know you would laugh at, just hearing your voice of reason and calmness. I know you are with daddy, Jeffrey and others now but I guess there´s that little bit of selfishness that wants you still here. I miss you terribly. We all do. Death is something we prepare for but are never ready when it happens. I´m so grateful that I spent most of December 2021 with you in NY. We lost you in January 2022. We all feel that emptiness that you are not here. I know that you, daddy and Jeff watch over us and guide us. I hope I made you proud and never disappointed you. I miss you every day and not a day goes by that I don´t feel you near by. Love you everyday and miss you more everyday, Love Raymond

Today October 6, 2022 marks 9 months since you left us mom. The days don´t get less painful they become manageable. I miss our nightly calls just before bed. We would talk about current issues or just talk about nothing important. My heart gets heavy the 5th of every month, that´s the day I got the call you left us. Nothing is forever I just wish I could have been there when you drifted away. I call Loki "grandma´s boy", I think he understands that. He has your kindness. Loki, Blue and I miss you tremendously every day. The loneliness can get deafening and when it does I think of a fond memory, I love you and miss you as so many do. Hi mom, tomorrow June 5th will mark five months since you were called away from our family. Not a day goes by that I don´t think of you. How I miss our evening calls, chatting about things like current events, things in the news or the sometimes oppressive heat in Florida hahahaha. I know you are with Jeffrey and dad.
