June Tuttle Obituary
She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Staten Island. June was born in Simcoe Ontario Canada the oldest of 8 children to George Edgar and Lillian O'Donnell. She graduated St Michael's School of Nursing in 1968 and worked as a Nurse in Canada until moving to the United States in 1971. June met her husband Joseph Tuttle Sr. on a cruise to the Bahamas. He was from Brooklyn Ny and they continued a long distance relationship until they married on March 13, 1971 and after settled on Staten Island where they remained for 49 years until Joe Sr passed in 2020. June worked full time as a Registered Nurse while raising her family spending much of her career as a Nursing Supervisor at Silver Lake Nursing Home she remained part time at Silver Lake when she pursued a position as a Detox Nurse at Bailey Seton Hospital until the hospital closed in 2005. After the hospital closing she returned to Silver Lake nursing home full time until she retired in 2015 in order to care for her husband. June was a hardworking nurse and for many years holding down 2 jobs, but always put her children and grandchildren first. She was known for her infectious laugh and unique sense of humor. She is survived by her 3 children Joseph Tuttle Jr, Jason Tuttle (Carol) Amy Urciuoli (Mel Evans) and grandchildren Samantha Urciuoli, Christopher Urciuoli, Aislinn Urciuoli, Hayley Tuttle and her bonus grandson David Evans. She is also survived by her siblings Gerry O'Donnell (Kathy), John O'Donnell (Lynne), Jeff O'Donnell (Cheryl), Jeanne O'Donnell (Brian Balcomb), Jay O'Donnell (Valerie) and sister in law Jane O'Donnell. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Tuttle Sr. , parents George Edgar and Lillian O'Donnell and brothers Jim and Joe O'Donnell.
Viewing is Friday, June 2, 4-8 pm at Harmon Funeral Home. Funeral service Saturday, June 3, 10 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel.
Family is asking to honor June's memory with donations in her name to the pediatric Leukemia fund at Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital.

I´m so very sorry to hear of the passing of June. I had the pleasure of both knowing her, working with her @ Silver Lake & having her as a friend while there. She was kind, compassionate & a wonderful nurse. I also have the pleasure of knowing her as a colleague & fellow nurse. God Bless you June with eternal peace & comfort always
