Margaret Mary O'Rourke

1934 - 2021

January 24, 1934 - October 15, 2021 Staten Island native, born and raised in Stapleton Margaret Mary O'Rourke (aka Mrs. Sabino) died peacefully in her sleep. She was 87 years old. She is survived by her 6 daughters; Regina Sabino, Jacqueline Montalto, Margaret Coursen, Patricia Sabino, Colleen Gardner & Louisa Sabino. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She had many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends who all called her Zarze. Margaret was pre-deceased by her siblings John J. O'Rourke, Patricia (Patsy) Kelly, Thomas H. O'Rourke, and Reverend Terrence J. O'Rourke O.S.A. and her son Ronald J Sabino. Ms. O'Rourke retired in 1996 after a 22-year career as a betting clerk with NYC Off-Track Betting Corp. There will be no formal service at this time. She would appreciate Masses said in her memory.
